Three days pay for racism?!?

Three days of docked pay, is what 5 peel regional officers were penalized for sending racist emails around to their collegues. Emails which ended up in the Inbox of a native officer. The emails were 'supposed' to be jokes. I'm sure the majority white male population of the Peel Police Force found these 'jokes' quite amusing. It's not so amusing if you are native and these jokes insinuate that indians: are alchoholics, unemployed, rob liquor stores, punch old ladies, "curb-stomp Whities", slap women and shake babies.

Their names are not even being released because they were "informally" disciplined and not charged under the Police Services Act. What's really going on is the 'boys in blue club' is closing ranks and protecting their own. Just like they did with Ipperwash. Inciting and promoting racism through official communication channels is not serious enough to be 'formally' dealt with?

What the Peel police had to say: The e-mails were "certainly inappropriate and could be viewed as offensive," Constable Craig Platt, a spokesman for the police department in the region west of Toronto, told The Globe and Mail Tuesday.

WTF??!! Could be viewed as offensive?? Could?? Could??? Could???
